Comments:

I love classic movies on TCM. We love our dogs, Lulu shih-tzu & Lucky maltese. We love to travel, esp cruises! We love our home in Burleson. At 4pm I call my beautiful Mom, who has MD at 95. At 5pm, most days, I am having a glass of bubble & watching an old movie or 90 Day Fiance. If the weather is nice, John & I sit on the patio & listen to the Beatles or other R&R.

I love my family. Jordan is 48, married & living in Houston.
Our grandson Cole is turning 18 soon. He goes to Tarleton in Stephenville. He is in ROTC and plans to become a pilot in the Air Force.

We are going on another cruise 4-24, On the Blue Cruise! This year we went on a Rock Legends cruise.

I met John at TWC in freshman English. We were married during Christmas break sophomore year at the age of 19. We had our 50th wedding anniversary 12-29-22. We went on (another) Cruise!

Our tragedy is that our younger son Justin took his life June 21, 2012. He was a victim of 1. Depression (took prozac most days). 2. Crisis - his wife kicked him out, and 3. Got drunk. Result is suicide. SSRI black box warning: take SSRI’s exactly as prescribed. Never drink while taking an SSRI. Wish I had known this.

School Story:

I remember cutting 1st period Mondays & Fridays to go eat donuts. Do you remember AHHS put in a computer to generate our report cards? I told my mother that the computer messed up and I really hadn’t missed 20 times. She fell for that several times. Maybe that wasn’t fair to my Mom because she had my little sister when I was 15. Eventually Mom wised up and called the school and I was busted.

I also used to leave for school and return a few minutes later, saying I left my book or homework. Then I’d ask my Mom for a note/excuse for being late. Then I could go to school as late as I wanted. Damn, I was lucky I graduated!

Julie, I loved your story about Judy.  I miss her so much!  She was the only alumni I talked to regularly.  I'm going to write something about her, but not tonight.
