Polly sat by me in Mrs. Hailey's math class in first semester of 10th grade. . She was my first big crush at AHHS. First semester in high school !!
I finally got the nerve to ask her out to some Christmas dance in Ridglea, and got the flu the day before. I was determined to go with fever and all as I had waited for weeks. So we went ....and I moaned and coughed on her for 3 hours with 103 fever and very little dancing. It was awkward and agonizing for her I'm sure, and we were "one and done" in the dating game. 😂😂😂 Poor girl. We remained good friends . Polly was always vivacious and had such a cute little voice. RIP, sweet girl.
