I was wondering about Kenie at this past 50th class reunion. Thank you to who found this information and posting it. She was a lost soul and always looking for the next high. We were friends in junior high and high school. We drifted apart in our senior year, when I married and had a child. Later in the early 1970's we came across each other and again and she was married and going to have a baby. I gave her a baby shower in my home at the time on Byers. She was very excited and she gave birth to a little girl. After that time we drifted apart again and only talked on the phone a few times later. I ran into her sister Pam in the late 70's while working downtown for the Bass Brothers building the Hotel. Pam gave me an update on Kenie and it was not a positive review. I have always wondered what became of her and if she ever found her way? God bless.
After the reunion, I could not help but feel that we most likely have lost more classmates than we thought.....out of 500+, there were approximately 300 that we have not heard from. We had 66 deceased that I knew of, and about 140 attended the reunion.
I have made it my mission to try and track down all of them (not contact them, as some people don't want to be found). But at least I can determine if they are still living. I found 10 more were deceased after the reunion...then I put the work aside for a bit and time got away from me. But I will continue to research the list of unknowns.
Thank you, Dana, for your info on Kenie. I never knew her well, but she was a cute girl. Sad that her life had troubles.
