Sherry was married almost 10 years to a wonderful man, WALLY PEGG. He is a pilot for American Airlines and from the minute he got home to the minute he had to leave again, he did absolutely everything for Sherry. EVERYTHING. I was there every week, often with my sister, and there were caretakers, but it was mostly Wally. He is an angel from Heaven. She was often not aware of it, but we were. We will miss her every day. Thank God for every day you have that you can walk, talk, eat, communicate and think.
I am so sorry to see this about sweet Sherrie. I remember her very well. We had some classes together. She was always so sweet, and kind, and always had a smile when we talked. It hurts my heart that she had such a sad decline. Beth, I know how you and your sister feel losing such a dear friend, especially with the slow goodbye. I went through the same sad years-long parting with Bunnty Stone who died from a debilitating type of dementia. I miss her every day and I know you miss Sherrie as well. We were blessed to have had such special lifelong friends even if they parted way too soon. All we can do is keep going forward in thankfulness that we shared those growing-up years with someone very special. Rennie

Thanks, John! Good to know someone remembered her. And Libby, please change her married name to PEGG.
Beth: PEGG is on her profile here. I cannot change her obituary. That is how the family wrote it.
Becky Cozby (Davis)
I definitely remember Sherry ...also K-12...and John described her as I remember...kind, soft spoken, shy and smart. RIP
Beth Phillips (Engelhardt)
Thanks, Becky. She would have loved to be at the reunions, but her condition just prevented it.
Cindy Sinclair (Nappier)
Sherry was a sweet friend. We spent a lot of fun times together growing up. She always made me laugh.
Beth Phillips (Engelhardt)
Thanks, Cindy! I remember good times with you too, too. I think of you often.

Thanks to everyone that remembers Sherry. I wish I could be reading all of these to her.

I don't remember Sherry very well but I am so sorry to hear that she had such a terrible deabilitating disease. So glad she had Wally.

Thanks, Rennie. You are right; the endings were very alike. I hope none of the rest of us have to go thru it. It certainly changes your life.
