Bill Yates, 52, a retired U.S. Air Force staff sergeant, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005.
Funeral: 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at Countryside Bible Church, 250 Countryside Court, Southlake. Officiating will be Andrew Yates. Burial: Noon Monday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at Lucas & Thompson Funeral Directors, 2000 W. College, Grapevine.
Pallbearers: Christopher Yates, Charlie Yates, Andrew Yates, Billy Kidd, Ryan Guthrie and Earl Haus.
Mr. Yates was born at Mather Air Force Base, Sacramento, Calif., and graduated from Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth in 1971. He served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. After his retirement, he worked in fiberoptics with Quest Communications. Bill now rests in the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Survivors: Wife, Caryn; children, Corey Cronan and Christoper Yates and their mother, Betty Yates, and daughter, Caryn Baxter; parents, retired Air Force Lt. Col. Charles E. and Dorothy Yates; grandchildren, Ashley Yates and Brandon, Erin and Christopher Cronan; brother, retired Air Force Lt. Col. Charlie D. Yates; and sister, Vicki Williamson.
