I lost touch with Judy after high school. We were very close at Stripling.  Wow !!!  I had no idea she had all these career accomplishments !!!  What a great lady !!  RIP.

Wow!  She was an amazing landscape artist.  Beautify heaven for us, Judy!

Judy and I were college roomates at NTSU in the early '70's. She had an incredibly sharp mind.... very creative... and high energy!  The only thing I remember being a challenge in our relationship was our study habits... unlike now, I was a night owl and she wanted lights out at an early hour.  Maybe I used her as an excuse not to study late at night since she would toss and turn when I had a light on.  We took a trip (Christmas break) to California with my boyfriend (later husband), Bobby Lukeman and also Bill Horn. Our destination was to stay at my sister's house in Carmel. My mother was concerned about our reputation and what the neighbors might say about 2 young women going off to California (in a VW van!!) with 2 really cute guys!  I told Mom not to tell anyone... and also that Judy was my chaperone!  It worked!  We had a great trip!  After graduation in 1975 we went separate ways.... and actually reconnected just a couple of years ago with the intention of a reunion...  unfortunately we lost that opportunity with her recent passing. I am so grateful of the time spent with this accomplished Creative.... and that she was recognized by her peers for her brilliant talent and successful career.   She was true to herself in the life she made. RIP roomie... I have a light on for you (in the pre-dawn hours).

Julie, I loved your story about Judy.  I miss her so much!  She was the only alumni I talked to regularly.  I'm going to write something about her, but not tonight.
